Horizon Healthcare Has A New Name – Rayant
(Newark, May 1, 2007) – Horizon Healthcare Services, Inc., which does business as Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey, announced that a number of its subsidiary companies will have a new name effective June 8, 2007. The subsidiary companies will remain wholly owned subsidiaries of Horizon Healthcare Services, Inc.
“We are changing the name of five of our subsidiary companies to comply with Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association regulations,” said Thomas W. Rubino, Director of Public Affairs at Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey. “Most members will not be affected by the name change. It will mainly affect our dental customers in New York and Pennsylvania. They will receive new ID cards, but their benefits will remain the same.”
The new name will apply to the following companies:
- Horizon Healthcare Administrators, Inc. will be Rayant Healthcare Administrators, Inc.
- Horizon Healthcare Insurance Company of New York will be Rayant Insurance Company of New York (Dental business)
- Horizon Healthcare Insurance Company of Pennsylvania will be Rayant Insurance Company of Pennsylvania (Dental business)
- Horizon Healthcare Insurance Agency, Inc. will be Rayant Insurance Agency, Inc.
- Horizon Healthcare Dental Services, Inc. will be Rayant Dental Services, Inc.
Members who have dental coverage with Horizon Healthcare in New York and Pennsylvania will be receiving new Rayant ID cards beginning in June 2007.
